Seems like a certain ex-veep from Indiana would be worse than Slick

In all of the above mentioned countries people were _told_ that they have achie
ved
socialism. "Told" and "achieved" are two different things. And nobody ever
achieved or even pretended to achieve communism.
So, there is no reality of achieving communism whatsoever. There is a theory of
communism that some people believe in and most people do not, but there is no
reality. And the reality that exists in all those countries has very little to
do even with the theory of communism, leave alone any other more proven to work
political and economical systems.

Anatoli.

I would say that institutionalized mass murder was itself a decay. The rot
set in at 1917 not after.

So, do you call New York, New Amsterdam? You've done the equivalent with
Cluj. This is rather annoying to some as we sometimes get a loony in here
with irredentist visions of dismembering Romania. It's not like America
where such things can be joked about safely since they can never happen.
If you wanted the heat of flames instead of enlightenment you've gotten a
good start.

As long as they don't start digging up the church or the statue I don't see
the problem. It's historical desecration only if they actually desecrate
something. Digging in the vicinity is not wrong even if a particular
archeologist's theory is mistaken. Are Romanian archeologists to be held
to a standard of perfection in site selection?

I'm not denying it and neither do most Romanians. There is nothing wrong
with teaching the true contributions of these two peoples. The problem is
in separating out the truth from the fictions propagated during
magyarization campaigns of this century and the last. I believe that this
is the source of most of the inter-ethnic friction that manifests itself
between our two peoples.

PELERINAGE
Quand douleur
Ma passion: me taire jusqu"a l'adieu

I don't need the Oxford, I know what bland means; I need a dictionary only when
I don't know what a word means.
BTW, since when is a gland used for food? I bet Wally likes it when you try to

i see a whole lot of differences. husak contributed greatly

he is facing.

looks like you have an exceptionally simplistic view
of austria's influence, slovakia's alleged dependence
on foreign opinions, or her willingness to be pitted

apply to hungary to a much greater degree.
